From the Telegraph & Argus of October 7, 1981...Pulling a double-deck bus around a large supermarket car park was all in a fundraising day's work for a group of Bradford people. The team of 12 from Bradford libraries raised £100 for the Lord Mayor's war on cancer appeal. The event was organised by the Yorkshire Region of the National Playbus Association.

From the Telegraph & Argus of October 7, 1956...Claims for substantial increases in pay for 150,000 wool textile workers are being heard in Bradford today by the Wool Textile Employers. The last pay increase under an agreement, which recently expired, provided for a six per cent rise. This came into force in June last year.
