From the Telegraph & Argus of October 4, 1981...Launching themselves into a pop career in more ways than one are a five piece Bradford group. Having chosen the name Armed Forces they decided a course with the Paratroopers would help them to leap into the public eye. Yesterday they were at Thornbury Barracks, Bradford, home of the 4th Battalion Parachute Regiment, being put through their paces on indoor dummy apparatus as preparation for an outdoor jump.

From the Telegraph & Argus of October 4, 1956...The official opening of Bradford's Barkerend Road flats took place today when the Lord Mayor, Ald A R Walker, described the occasion as a landmark in the history of Bradford and in building activities since the end of the war. In the Lord Mayor's introduction, he said: "The flats are unique in West Riding, if not in the whole of the north of England."
