25 years ago: Teachers’ pay strikes ended in settlement, with four of the six unions voting to accept the employers’ 16.4 per cent pay offer.
50 years ago: Bradford’s October crime figure of 495 was 131 fewer than for the same month in 1960. Offences of breaking into houses, shops and other premises dropped from 223 to 95.
