25 years ago: A 9ft bronze statue of Bradford’s most famous son JB Priestley was lifted into place outside the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television.
50 years ago: The cup everybody in Queensbury knows as well as their own tea service was paraded in the village, in front of the winner, the Black Dyke Mills Band, who for the 6th time since the way, carried off the National Brass Band Championship at the Albert Hall, London.
