From the Telegraph & Argus of September 20, 1981...Post Office telephone drivers were presented with safe driving awards yesterday. The awards were handed over to drivers from both Skipton and Keighley Post Offices by the Bradford area telephone manager. The drivers won the recognition as part of the National Safe Driving Campaign.

From the Telegraph & Argus of September 20, 1956...A campaigner is continuing his eight-year campaign to have public toilets installed in a shopping centre. John Wills now has the backing of Idle and District Community Action Group to have toilets installed in the Idle shopping centre. He said a promise had been made to rebuild the original toilets which had been in a bad condition when they were demolished. "In the Labour manifesto there was a promise to restore public conveniences," he said.
