The American Ambassador, John Hay Whitney, is to visit the district next month to discuss matters of mutual interest. He is visiting at the invitation of the Wool Textile Delegation, and it is believed to be the first such visit by an American ambassador. He will inspect mills on February 6 and 7, and although no official talks are scheduled, informal conversations are expected to cover the US wool cloth tariff quota.
