25 Years Ago: Veteran actor Ron Moody was taken to Birmingham hospital after suffering a stroke hours before a reunion with Oliver co-star Mark Lester. Ron, famous for his part as Fagin in the ‘60s musical, was said to be stable.
50 Years Ago: Beatle John Lennon, and Yoko Ono, had been remanded on bail until November 28 at Marylebone Magistrates’ Court, London, charged with possessing the drug cannabis and obstructing police in the execution of a search warrant.
