25 Years Ago: Folk in Bingley had awoken to find that their canal had been moved. Working throughout the night two dams had been created to allow the 127-mile Leeds-Liverpool Canal to flow into a new bed in Park Road.
50 Years Ago: Two youths from Bradford had been bound over for 12 months at Bradford City Court after frightening several women and children in a bus queue in Bank Street. Charged with causing a breach of the peace, the youths had continued to shout even after a warning by police officers.
