50 Years Ago: Bradford Park Avenue Football Club’s £10,000 appeal had been given an unexpected boost with a cheque for 100 guineas from a Lancashire businessman! Wishing to remain anonymous, the ‘mystery benefactor’ admitted that he had a natural sympathy for a club going through hard times.
