25 Years Ago: A talented 13-year-old football star had been banned from playing the sport she loves because she was too young. Unfortunately, the striker for Bradford City Women’s’ Football Club, had fallen victim to the Football Association sex equality rule.
50 Years Ago: In the first week of cut-price cigarettes, some Bradford stores had experienced a boom in business. For others it was a case, of pulling down the shutters for the last time. According to one small tobacconist the loss was more than £20 a week.
