25 Years Ago: Olympic swimming ace Adrian Moorhouse and his Gladiator fiancée Kate Staples both announced that they were backing the T&A’s Drugwatch campaign and planned to raise £50,000 in the bid to fight drugs.
50 Years Ago: Unable to find any troop scouters the 59th Bradford West Scout Troop, the only one left in Allerton, was facing extinction. According to Mr. Holliday Group Scout Leader if there was no response to the appeal then the troop would have to finish, and the scouts would have to move to other units.
