25 Years Ago: Attendance figures for the city’s very own Tour de Bradford was at an all-time low. The race, which had been organised by the Bradford Economic Development Unit and sponsored by Yorkshire Cable was highlighting the launch of Bradford Council’s Collector Card Scheme.

50 Years Ago: Flooding had brought havoc to many parts of Yorkshire. In Wibsey, gardens and houses in Reevy Road had been flooded by water over spilling from a nearby dam and in Keighley homes were flooded by an overflowing sewer.
