25 Years Ago: Drama-mad brother and sister were seizing the TV spotlight. Sarah-Jane Potts, from Wibsey, had just finished filming a major part in the popular Children’s Ward and her brother Andrew, was filming two episodes of the farming soap Emmerdale.
50 Years Ago: Bradford firemen had been called to the new Technical College extension after a bitumen pan on the roof of the building had caught fire during the lunch break. Using a turntable ladder, the firemen had extinguished the blaze in minutes.
