25 Years Ago: Drug squad officers had arrested nine people in raids across a Bradford housing estate. Swooping on ten homes on the Canterbury estate, Odsal CID had seized an alleged haul of drugs, stolen goods and money.
50 Years Ago: Mrs. Amy Ethel Townsend, of Moore Avenue, Bradford, had been decorated with the British Empire Medal by the Earl of Scarborough, Lord Lieutenant of West Riding, for years of service to the West Yorkshire branch of the British Red Cross.
