A Cleckheaton dustbin man has swept up the prize of a lifetime, a £35,000 new detached home for his young wife and their two toddlers.

Gary Hunter, 24, who works for Kirklees Council and lives in a small terrace house in South Parade, Cleckheaton, with his wife, Kim, 23, and their two children Leanna, three, and Brian, two, has won the first prize of a dream home' in a National Competition, organised by Weetabix and Barrat Houses.

A Bradford silk-screen process printing firm whose products are exported to 70 countries appeared as appellants at a planing inquiry in Bradford town hall today. The inquiry was conducted by Mr D Senior, a Ministry of Housing inspector, into an appeal by Photoscreen Display Company Ltd in Farfield Works, Lilycroft Road.

This was against the refusal of Bradford Corporation to allow them to convert Ebenezer Chapel Sunday School in Town Lane, Idle, for use as a screen printing works.
