Two West Bowling men have had their heads shaved to raise money for disabled children. Alan Bell, of Dalcross Grove, and Joe Ramsden, of Gaythorne Road, were given the Kojak' look at the Red Ginn pub, old Lane. More than two hundred pounds has been promised from sponsors. The money is to go to Roundthorn school and St Stephen's Hostel, which both help disabled people.

Retired railway men in Bradford attended the second annual society at the NUR club in Manningham last night.
Guest of honour was the president of the National Union of Railworkers', Tom Hollywood. Denis O'Connor, chairman of the Bradford branch of the NUR, said "He was pleased to welcome such an interesting guest."
