25 years ago: The Employment Minister, Tim Eggar, shrugged off a row over supposed £200,000 cuts to training cash which Bradford Council said could put 40 jobs at risk, during a visit to the city to announce a £500,000 grant for office space in Little Germany.
50 years ago: A 24-hour strike by the Post Office Engineering Union led to a so-called 'stamp famine' in Bradford, with the Forster Square Head Office and the Exchange Post Office in Bank Street both selling out of penny stamps.
