25 years ago: Detectives in Bradford revealed that gangs of youths armed with razor-sharp craft knives were setting out to trap, attack, and rob taxi drivers, after a spate of assaults in a two-mile radius on the Buttershaw estate.
50 years ago: A seven-foot tiger was on the loose in Riddlesden - albeit only a wooden one - after the distinctive ornament was stolen from Granby Garage in Bradford Road. In a similar raid, the head of an Esso tiger was also taken from the Walter Burgess Ltd garage in Keighley.
