25 years ago: An investigation was underway at Bradford Royal Infirmary after a man who had been found collapsed near his home in Windhill was discharged to Shipley police station, only to be later found unconscious by officers with what turned out to be a fractured skull.
50 years ago: The Minister of Health told a committee protesting against the closure of accident and emergency services at Bingley Hospital that he would not attempt to re-open its casualty department, despite a 5,000-strong petition from local residents.
