25 years ago: Heart specialist Dr Geoff Morrison was campaigning to get greasy cooked breakfasts, stodgy puddings, white bread and butter outlawed at Bradford Royal Infirmary. He thought this would help reduce the city's heart disease death toll.
50 years ago: A crowd of schoolchildren in the road at the junction of Chapel Lane and Grange Road, Allerton, Bradford, watched a 14-year-old schoolboy swinging two belts around him in a dangerous manner. He was later searched by police officers who found a quantity of cigarettes on him, which had been earlier stolen from a shop in Allerton.
