25 years ago: Health managers at Bradford Royal Infirmary warned that "thoughtless" motorists were preventing ambulances reaching the correct departments by illegally parking their cars on emergency routes, after a new pavement wiped out 70 parking spaces outside the hospital on Duckworth Lane.
50 years ago: All production departments at the Bradford-based engineering firm Hepworth and Grandage Ltd were at a standstill, as 2,000 men stayed out on strike over a ban on overtime at the factory, forcing the company to miss orders.
