25 years ago: All the governors at two Bradford schools - Lidget Green Middle School, and Wellington Middle School in Undercliffe - quit en-masse in protest at the Council's new Local Management of Schools budget, claiming the funds would not allow them to manage the schools "properly."
50 years ago: George Craddock, MP for Bradford South, failed to secure a House of Commons debate over compulsory compensation for victims of road accidents, but vowed to continue his campaign as he said it was "shocking" there was "no insurance for everyone in this motor car age."
