25 years ago: An Ilkley licensee was fined £1,500 after admitting rugby club partygoers were invited to have sex with a naked stripper at a pub function advertised as an 'antiques roadshow', with the Judge calling the event an "affront to public decency."
50 years ago: Flames shot 40ft into the air as firemen tackled a fierce blaze in the roof of St Bartholomew's Church in Hall Lane, Bradford, which had been due for demolition after its parish was divided between St John's in Bierley, and St John's in Bowling.
