25 years ago: Children's favourites Orinoco and Uncle Bulgaria, of the Wombles, came to Bradford to promote Tidy Britain's Spring Clean Day.
50 years ago: A quick-thinking 17-year-old ripped a blazing skirt from his sister-in-law before rolling her in the snow outside after the clothing had accidentally set alight. The woman had been lighting a fire at her home off Lumb Lane, Bradford. She suffered severe burns.
