25 years ago: Staff at Shipley swimming pool were trying to find the owner of a letter written by an old soldier 46 years earlier in India which was found in the men's changing room. The letter by Roy Ibbotson was dated July 13, 1944.
50 years ago: Intruders who broke into Shipley Youth Centre, in Saltaire Road, smashed records and damaged a record player, fruit machine, table and other equipment. They also drank nine bottles of mineral water and ate bags of crisps.
