25 years ago: Two police officers helped deliver a baby outside Shipley police station, on Manor Lane, after a frantic man rushed in and said his wife was giving birth in a car outside.
50 years ago: Plans were unveiled for a new railway station halfway between Bradford and Leeds, in the Dawson's Corner area of Stanningley. It would be near a junction where five main roads would meet, said British Railways, and the aim was to cut traffic congestion.
