25 years ago: Patients, visitors and staff could be made to pay for car parking at Bradford’s biggest hospital. Health chiefs were considering charging for parking at the city’s royal infirmary. And the plan could be extended to include car parking at St Luke’s Hospital.
50 years ago: The low standard of programmes on television was responsible for making young people go wrong said the Lord Mayor of Bradford. Speaking at the annual meeting of St Monica's Home, at Bradford Town Hall, he said: "If I had a young son or daughter at home, I would turn it off straight away. You can hear and see all kinds of things on television."
