50 years ago: Tom Fraser, the Minister for Transport, confirmed he had agreed to end rail stopping services between Bradford and Huddersfield on the Mirfield and Halifax routes, leading to potential station closures at Low Moor, Cleckheaton, Liversedge, Heckmondwike, Northorpe, and Lightcliffe.
