25 years ago: Bradford Northern announced plans to issue a further 100,000 shares in the club, following record profits of more than £140,000 in the previous financial year, including an extra £57,000 in gate receipts, and £17,000 in sponsorship.
50 years ago: Bradford's Education Committee said it would cost £9 million to bring the district's old schools - three out of every five of which were built before 1914 - up-to-date, with many still only having outside toilets for staff and pupils.
