25 years ago: Businessmen in Bradford were set to make a plea to Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher asking for her personal intervention and support in the row over granting extended flying hours for Leeds-Bradford Airport.
50 years ago: More than 1,500 people packed into St George’s Hall, Bradford, to watch a film showing some of the sights on the Telegraph & Argus’ 15-day tours to America, scheduled for October.
