25 years ago: Residents fighting a £150 million scheme for the 150-acre Pennine Ski Village at Soil Hill, on the borders of Thornton and Denholme, announced they had formed an action committee to lobby planners, labelling the potential development a “catastrophe.”
50 years ago: Six people, including five from Keighley, were taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary after a serious collision between a car and a bread van at Greengates traffic lights.
