25 years ago: Neighbours of a derelict house in Spring Place, Great Horton, urged Bradford Council to take action after the site, which they said had turned into a slum and drinking den, was set alight and destroyed.
50 years ago: The Hammond Trophy, normally given to the winner of the 31-mile Bradford Whit Monday Walk, went missing from St George’s Hall while the race was in progress.
