25 years ago: Police were preparing a “massive” security operation amid fears that up to 2,000 Manchester City fans were due to descend upon Bradford with black market tickets for the last game of the season at Valley Parade.
50 years ago: Corporal Dennis Noble, 22, of Bridge Road, Bradford, was left unconscious for 20 minutes after being struck by lightning while working on an army vehicle in Borneo.
