25 years ago: Three passengers and a driver were injured when a new Sprinter train crashed into the buffers at Bradford Interchange station, with the force of the collision destroying the driver’s compartment.
50 years ago: Yorkshire County Cricket Club were striving for their 1,000th win in cricket’s County Championship, which began in 1873, in front of a near 4,000 crowd at Bradford’s Park Avenue ground.
