25 years ago: A group of 14 haemophiliacs, who claimed to have contracted the AIDS virus through blood clotting treatment at West Yorkshire hospitals, including Bradford Royal Infirmary, began legal action for negligence against health authorities.
50 years ago: Houses in Mount Pleasant, Ilkley, had to be evacuated by police after residents were taken ill by a chemical gas leak in the area.
