Mr Maurice T Jones, of Bradford, has sent us a letter regarding a photograph we published on November 27.
He writes: “My guess is that this is a group of 1914-18 soldiers who are convalescing at a local hospital. While in hospital they have to wear ‘hospital blues’, a royal blue uniform with light-coloured lapels.”
Mr Jones also sent in another photo this time of his father (Maurice Walker Jones), also in hospital blues.
He says: “He fought and was wounded at Vimy Ridge. He spent three years as a POW in Germany.”
