Frank Dickinson, of the Eccleshill Local History Group, has sent in a photograph which he hopes Remember When? readers might be able to shed some light on.

It is one of a collection of pictures that came to the group from the son of one of the elderly members, who sadly passed away recently. They are mainly concerned with Eccleshill Congregational Church, now Eccleshill United Reformed Church, says Frank.

But one seems to be different – a shot of a ladies’ cricket team.

Frank says: “None of our members could remember hearing about a ladies team supporting parcel delivery to Bradford soldiers during the Great War. Perhaps readers could throw some light on this?”
