Does anyone remember going to Sunday afternoon symphony concerts at the New Victoria?
Reader Keith Wilson was inspired to get in touch after reading a Telegraph & Argus report on organist Phillip Tordoff.
The 75-year-old Cleckheaton organist, who first played at an Oakenshaw Church 50 years ago, has given his 1,000th recital, at Westgate Chapel in Wakefield.
The report brought back memories for Mr Wilson who used to watch Mr Tordoff in concert.
“I remember a concert at the New Vic by Leopold Stokowski, I think it was in 1952. I wonder if any of your readers remember it?”
