Jessica Ennis is the only female shot-putter who is ahead of Sarah Benson this winter in the United Kingdom
Bingley Harrier Sarah Benson has won her third successive event.
The shot putter took the Welsh Indoor Championship with a throw of 12.85 metres.
Her other wins came in UWIC (University of Wales Institute Cardiff) grands prix, with throws of 13.18m and 13.19m.
The latter throw put Sarah second in the fledgling 2012 UKA (UK Athletics) Power of Ten placings behind Olympic medal hopeful Jessica Ennis, who threw 13.95m in the Northern Indoor Championships.
On the back of her performances, Sarah has been invited to the AAA Indoor Championships at Sheffield on Saturday, February 11.
