Two Airienteers have been chosen to represent Great Britain this summer. Florence Haines, of Ilkley, will be in the W18 age group at the European Youth Orienteering Championships in the Czech Republic.
Meanwhile, her brother Hector will compete in the Nordic Orienteering Tour in Scandinavia, also next month.
On a more local level, the summer Saturday O-Lite series got under way on Baildon Moor last week with Andrew Kelly, from Menston, emerging victorious in 37min 50sec.
Paul Liepins (38.10), Adrian Hall (38.15), Adam Smith (39.00, and David Bowman (39.45) occupied the next four positions, while Ruth Ker, of Leeds, was first woman in 40.30.
