Airienteers proved age is no barrier as members old and young claimed victories at an East Pennine Club-organised regional event at Marsden Moor.
Veteran international Ruth Ker won the 3.4km Green course well ahead of the field in 36min 34sec, with fellow Airienteer Helen Wood a fine third in 43.27.
The other winner was junior Scott Marshall, who won the 3.2km Light Green course in 49.15, followed by Matthew Brown in second place in 64.33.
Greg Hull had a good run in 78.27 on the 9.9km Black course to finish third, as did Dave Alcock, who finished fifth in 80.12.
Six Airienteers finished inside the top ten in the 5.3km Blue course, with junior international Joe Woodley the first of them home in fourth place in 57.08 and veteran Tony Carlyle having a fine run finishing just two seconds behind.
Joyce Marshall was the first woman home on the Blue course in eighth, with Cerys Jones the first junior woman in eleventh.
Other top ten placings on the demanding circuits included Helen Woodley in second on the 2.9km Short Green course, Alistair Wood finishing sixth on the 7.0km Short Brown course and David Bowman finishing fourth in 75.15 on the 8.2km Brown course.
The next event in Airienteers’ Night Score League will be at Headingley on Wednesday, February 2.
