Thirty-nine members of Airienteers competed in a regional event run by the East Pennine club at Castle Carr, north of Halifax.
The picturesque, steep-sided valley and the surrounding frozen moorland of Castle Carr provided a testing technical and physical challenge, with the longer courses having climbs of over 900 feet.

Frank Kew was the first Aire runner in on the 6.83km blue course, coming seventh in 79.14. Sam Wood was second junior and 11th overall.
Cerys Jones had a sparkling run on the 5.32km short blue course, finishing third in 62.01. But junior Joe Woodley of Guiseley had the run of the day to win the 3.99km green course in fine style in 47.45.
