Different distances and surfaces yielded national caps and major victories for six of the best local athletes.
Emma Clayton of Bingley Harriers was a runaway winner of the senior women’s Home International Fell Championships at Skiddaw in Keswick, clocking 50min 41sec.
Ikley’s Georgia Malir was also third in the junior women’s race in 27:48.

Clayton leads the senior ladies’ team, while Rob Hope (Pudsey & Bramley) joins Adams in the senior men’s line-up.
Clayton and Malir then progress to represent Great Britain in Bulgaria on Saturday, July 6 at the European Mountain Running Championships.
Adams celebrated with a course-record 15:49 at the Bradford Park Run on Saturday.
Only two runners have bettered 16 minutes on the stiff Lister Park 5K course, although the popularity of the event continues to grow with 332 at the latest weekly run.
Bingley’s Jo Buckley ran to victory in the Wharfedale Off-Road Marathon on Sunday.
She set off steadily, in 17th place at the first checkpoint, but made her move at three-quarters distance, having passed Malham Tarn. She finished tenth overall in 3hr 4min 31sec.
The men’s winner was Ricky Lightfoot in 2:33:07. Fellow Cumbrian Carl Bell held off Calder Valley vet Karl Grey, who was third (2:42:00). Gareth Hird (Wharfedale Harriers) was seventh in 3:01:36.

He had a sizeable lead by the first checkpoint and a two-minute margin at halfway. Skipton’s Julian Hood attempted a pursuit but was eventually passed himself by Gareth Briggs (Staffs Moorlands).
A total of 117 finished the full race and 215 the half.
The Yorkshire Track & Field Championships at Cudworth saw Demetric Nelson (Bingley) run a personal best of 21:69 to take gold in the under-20s 200 metres.
