Luke Pinder is targeting a class win in the full British Rally Championship after winning the 2007 Stars of the Future title.
The 24-year-old is reunited with co-driver Kim Baker, who helped him to his first major success in the 2005 Peugeot 206 1400 Championship.
Pinder's car for this year - a 1.4 litre Ford Puma Kit - is nearing completion ahead of the opening event - the Carlisle-based Pirelli International Rally on Friday and Saturday.
The Shipley-based driver is keen to pit his wits against world champions Citroen Sport, who have a full factory specification C2R2 Max driven by Simon Jean Joseph.
Pinder said: "We are really up for it this year and can't wait to get the season underway. The last time I drove on a rally was back in December on Rally GB where we won our class."
Pinder also has a new sponsor in Retirement Developments Ltd, who also provide backing to British Moto GP star James Toseland.
