BRADFORD Ice Hockey Club have a national team again.

They play their first match in the National Ice Hockey League's Laidler Division Two against Nottingham at Bradford Ice Arena today (4.45pm).

Head coach Andy Brown said: "We are very pleased that we have managed to develop a senior team to play for Bradford after a few years' gap.

"Our junior teams need to have a senior team to progress to and we hope to mirror the success that our junior teams have had in the league. However, we do need a sponsor."

Any interested companies can e-mail Brown at andy@icetime.org or Dominic Johns at Dominic.Johns@delifreshltd.co.uk.

The formation of the senior team is more good news on the back of the club's junior development award for the north of England.

Bradford received the award at the recent English Ice Hockey Association annual meeting from EIHA chairman Ken Taggart.

The award means that Bradford is a centre of excellence for junior ice hockey in the north and midlands.
