Bradford's No 2 snooker side returned to action after a lengthy break from the Yorkshire Inter-District League with an excellent 4-2 victory over Selby at Manningham Ward.
Bradford champion Gareth Green got the team off to a great start, winning both frames comfortably, including making a break of 68 in his first frame.
Boover Singh lost out in his first but redeemed himself by winning his next to put the home side 3-1 in front.
Then captain Hanif Rafiq lost on the black in his first frame, but the tables were turned when he gained a much-needed victory for the side by edging the final frame on the pink.
Defending Division One champions Bradford No 1 travel to top-of-the-table Harrogate on Sunday, looking to get back to winning ways.
Kevin Firth was in action at the weekend in the third event of the English Seniors' Tour at Grantham Snooker & Pool Club, after a switch from the original venue at Rushden.
In the group stages, Firth beat Michael Kirk 3-0, but then lost out to John Ashford Smith 2-1, which meant victory was a necessity against English champion Steve Judd for qualification.
This was probably Firth’s best performance of the day, making breaks of 59 and 44 to win 2-1 and finish top of the group.
In the quarter-finals, Firth eased through 3-0 against Danny Connolly, but struggled to find any consistency in the semi-finals and fell 3-1 against John Prime, who then lost 3-0 to Judd in the final.
