Bradford Dragons women continued their climb up the Premier Division table with a 42-26 home victory against Trinity All Saints College in the Leeds & District League.
Dragons had already beaten them 54-43 in the Handicap Cup and knew a repeat would lift them to second in the standings.
Hard-working defence kept TASC to only eight points in the first half, with Dragons piling on 28 in return.
It was the Dragons’ sixth consecutive win in the league and they were boosted further by Sheffield Gems beating Harrogate Raiders.
Bradford points-scorers were Sammy Drake (12), Aleksandra Mazjakina (nine), Louise Hunte (eight), Dana Kima (seven), Laura Moloney (four), Natalia Laing (two), Claudia Caramidaru, Charline Poirson, Jane Kirton, Esther Nabikolo and Svenja Schmidt.
Their next game is at Bradford College Sports Centre this Saturday against Derbyshire Trailblazers in the National Founders Cup (North Pool).
Tip-off is 6.15pm and spectators are welcome.
