Embassy A have endured a miserable Bradford League campaign so far and are firmly rooted in the bottom two after suffering their seventh straight Division One defeat at the hands of Dewsbury Sedbergh.

The Embassy trio of Paul Stephenson, Tony Boyd and Jack Dabrowksi all managed to beat Steve Taylor but Ian Denton and John Stones both recorded trebles to consign Embassy to a 6-4 loss.

It means they are already 22 points behind Embassy B in what is becoming a season of struggle.

Highdale B are confirming their status as title favourites after opening up a gap of 19 points at the top by becoming the first team to beat Unity A.

Richard Whiteley and Peter Morgan were both unbeaten, while Mark Land added one win in Highdale’s convincing 8-2 victory.

Salem and Hermits K were both without a victory in Division Five but Salem broke that duck by emerging 8-2 winners from their basement battle.

Colin Waddington did not drop a game as he reeled off three wins, while Maurice Smithies and Brian Hall picked up two each. Phil White put two singles on the scoresheet for Hermits.
