BRADFORD PALS AC
The result of our Christmas Cheer match at Pine Lake Fisheries was: 1 Dave Whitrick 20lb 10oz; 2 Bernard Hook 16lb 10oz; 3 John Foreman 16lb 6oz. Section winners were Alan Lynn 16lb 2oz and Steve Butler 8lb 6oz. The season aggregate points table finished: 1 Dave Riley 51; 2 Bernard Hook 41; 3 Tony Webb 40. The club would like to thank everyone who generously donated prizes, especially Tackle2U Bradford and Lindholme Lakes. Please note that our annual meeting will be on Saturday, January 21 at 12.30pm at the Fighting Cock on Preston Street. It is important that all members attend this meeting.
BRADFORD No 1 AA
Tickets are still available for the next open match at Cowthorpe on December 11 from Simon on 01274-571175. Pickhill and Gatenby are fishing well for large chub to float tactics. Widdington Hall is worth a visit this week with double-figure nets of roach being caught on pole and maggot. Milby Cut is continuing to produce good catches of roach and the odd perch on castor and bread punch.
LISTERHILLS AA
The next members’ match is at Pilley’s Dam on Sunday, December 4. The winner of this year’s aggregate weight trophy is E Harrison with 41lb 1¼oz; runner-up M Mannion 28lb 8¾oz; 3 G Kitchen 25lb 6¾oz. The winner of the Merit Trophy is L Passey. A reminder for all members to remove litter from the bank side at the end of their fishing session.
HEWENDEN AC
The next pike match will be this Sunday, with a 9am draw in the car park. Cost is £10 and all members are welcome. There will be a near-side draw for those that require it. Would all members please drive carefully on the lane and be aware of the big boulders on the side of the lane by the entrance.
BINGLEY AC
500-plus barbel were stocked into the River Aire last Friday by the Environment Agency. These fish are marked with a coloured dye on the head. Will members please report any barbel catches to a club official. Members note that during winter, the gate at Riddlesden Hall on the River Aire will be locked at dusk, not at 5pm as printed on information sheets. The next commitee meeting will be on Tuesday, December 13.
