Bingley’s Rob Watson (Paul Milnes RT/Bradford Olympic RC) was the best of the British contingent in the Elite Event at the GVA Koppenberg Cross in Belgium recently.
The cyclist finished 36th in the competition, which featured a strong field including reigning world champion Zdenek Stybar and former world champion Sven Nys.
Watson finished 30th and ninth in the National Trophy in Leicester after feeling unwell throughout the Under-23 races.
In the junior section, Keighley’s Joe Moses (Paul Milnes RT) recorded a third-placed finish, while Bradford’s Billy Harding finished fourth in the youth category.
